Here at the Bayside Dog Owners Group, we try to support all kinds of animal charities. Big and small. In the past, we have made monetary donations to the charities below amongst others:
Dogs for Kids with Disabilities: Dogs For Kids with Disabilities (DKD) is a not for profit organisation based in Victoria, Australia. Our Assistance and Companion dogs improve the lives of children and young adults who face a range of challenges (including physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders).
Pet Medical Crisis Fund:
The Pet Medical Crisis Fund (PMCF) has been created to help pensioners and disadvantaged pet owners who cannot afford surgery to keep their family pet alive.
Last month, Wendy, one of our members, decided to register for the RSPCA Cupcake day to raise money. To date, with the help of some members in our group and others, we have raised $735.46. Our goal is $2000.00. As a group, we decided to get behind her 100% and do what we can to reach the goal.
With that in mind, BDogs are holding a Cupcake and Pupcake day on Saturday the 2nd of September at Wishart Reserve, Wishart St, Hampton East from 2 to 4pm.
All families and dogs are welcome - it is the only fully enclosed dedicated, off lead dog park here in Bayside.
Cupcakes for the humans and Pupcakes for the dogs will be available. You can also donate on the day or donate here via our dedicated RSPCA Cupcake Day link.
One of our amazing local businesses - Studio Pets, Bay Rd, Sandringham, has donated a wonderful raffle prize valued at over $360.00. You can purchase tickets from the shop or you can contact me here. Tickets are $2 each or $3 for five tickets. Donations are also accepted there as well.
Raffle tickets are also available on the day at the park.
